TNZ5EG10: 10 x GE(SFP) Ethernet Processing Board

 

The EG10 board is a packet board. It supports access of 10 x GE/FE services and transmits service signals to cross-connect boards for packet data processing and centralized grooming at the equipment level. On the WDM side, the EG10 board works with a board providing the packet service processing function to implement packet service transmission on the WDM network.

 

The EG10 board consists of the client-side optical module, switching interface module, control and communication module, and power supply module.

 

 

Functions and Features of the TNZ5EG10 Board

 

Function and Feature

Description

Basic function

Transmits and receives the combination of 10 x GE/FE optical services or the combination of 6 x GE electrical services, and processes packet services.

NOTE:

If unshielded network cables are used, a maximum of six services is supported.If shielded network cables are used, a maximum of four services is supported.

Backplane bandwidth

The total backplane bandwidth is 10 Gbit/s.

Service processing capability

The maximum service processing capability of the board is 10 Gbit/s. If the total bandwidth of received services is greater than 10 Gbit/s, packets will be lost.

Port rate

  • GE: Ethernet service at a rate of 1.25 Gbit/s.
  • FE: Ethernet service at a rate of 125 Mbit/s.

Port working mode

  • GE optical port: 1000M Full-Duplex, Auto–Negotiation
  • FE optical port: 100M Full-Duplex
  • GE electrical port: 10M Full-Duplex, 100M Full-Duplex, 1000M Full-Duplex, Auto-Negotiation

TAG attribute

Supports the following TAG attributes: tag aware, access, and hybrid.
