TNV3S216: 16 x STM-N (N=1,4,16,64; aggregation capacity <= 160G) optical interface board

 

The S216 board is a SDH board. The S216 board can be used on the OptiX OSN 9800 equipment to transmit and receive STM-n (n=1, 4, 16, or 64) optical signals.

 

The S216 board converts the received STM-n optical signals into VC4 and VC-4-Xc (X=4/16/64) signals and sends VC4 and VC-4-Xc (X=4/16/64) signals to the cross-connect side.

NOTE:

The S216 board supports the intra-board grooming of AU-3 signals.

  • OTU1 layer: supports SM overhead processing.

  • Processes the section overheads of STM-64/STM-16/STM-4/STM-1 signals.
  • Supports the transparent transmission and termination of the path overheads.
  • Sets and queries J0, J1, and C2 bytes.
  • Supports ECC communication.
