U401: 1 x 100Gbit/s Universal Line Service Processing Board

The U401 board has four functional versions: TNU2, TNU3, TNV2,TNU4.

The TNU3U401 , TNU4U401 board is a hybrid line board and supports a mixture of OTN, SDH, and packet services. The other U401 board is a universal line board and supports a mix of OTN and packet services. The U401 board processes and converts the received service signals into one OTU4 signal, which is carried over an ITU-T G.694.1-compliant DWDM wavelength.

The U401 board supports the mixed transmission of OTN, SDH and packet services. It supports Layer 2 switching, MPLS-TP, and OTN interfaces.

The U401 board consists of a fabric interface circuit, traffic manager, packet processor, OTN processing module, VC cross-connect module, SDH processing module, WDM-side optical module, control and communication module, and power supply module.

Function and Feature	Description
OTN functions	Supports OTU4 interface the WDM side. Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing defined in ITU-T G.709. OTU4 layer: supports SM overhead processing. ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, flex) layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.
WDM specification	Supports ITU-T G.694.1-compliant DWDM specifications.
