Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 High Performance Programable Line Service Processing Board TNU3N602 Overview

TNU3N602: 2*200G/400G high performance Programable Line Service Processing Board.

TNU3N602T32: 2*200G/400G high performance Programable Line Service Processing Board;

TNU3N602T33: 2*200G/400G Programable Line Service Processing Board

As an OTN line board, a TNU3N602T32/TNU3N602T33 board converts ODU0, ODU1, ODU2/ODU2e, ODU3, ODU4, and ODUflex signals carried over ITU-T G.694.1 compliant DWDM wavelengths.

The TNU3N602T32/TNU3N602T33 board consists of a WDM-side rate/modulation format tunable optical module, a signal processing module, a control and communication module, and a power module. The overall board function is the sum of functions provided by the two ports, and the function of each port varies depending on the port mode. Therefore, the following describes working principles and signal flows by port mode.

This topic describes the N602 board parameters that can be set or queried using the NMS.

Functions and Features of the TNU3N602 Board

Function and Feature

Description

Basic function

Provides two line ports and supports conversion between a maximum of 640 x ODU0/320 x ODU1/80 x ODU2/80 x ODU2e/16 x ODU3/8 x ODU4/640 x ODUflex signals and two channels of OTU4/OTUC2 signals.

Backplane capacity

The maximum capacity is 800 Gbit/s.

WDM specification

Supports the DWDM specifications.

Tunable wavelength

Supports tunable wavelengths of WDM-side optical signals in Super C band (1524 nm to 1573 nm).

FEC coding

SDFEC2

Line modulation format

  • 200G QPSK wDCM
  • 200G QPSK
  • 400G 16QAM

Typical channel spacing

  • 200G QPSK wDCM: 100GHz+n*6.25GHz(n=0,1,2...)
  • 200G QPSK, 400G 16QAM: 75GHz+n*6.25GHz(n=0,1,2...)

OTN overhead protocol

Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing defined by ITU-T G.709.

OTN overhead

  • WDM-side OTUC4/OTUC2 layer: supports SM overhead processing.
  • ODUC4/ODUC2layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing.
  • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, flex) layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing and non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.

Intra-board 1+1 protection

Supported

NOTE:

Supports intra-board 1+1 protection when working with the optical protection boards

ODUk SNCP

Supported

Tributary SNCP

Supported

Electrical-layer ASON

Supported

Optical-layer ASON

Supported

Digital optical label

When LS Ability is enabled, the board supports loading low-frequency pilot-tone modulation signals and overheads during wavelength conversion, and can work the optical-layer board that supports the digital optical label function to detect optical power and overheads and report optical performance data.

Physical clock

Supported

NOTE:

When the ODU cross-connect granularity of an OTN line port is set to the maximum granularity supported by the port, physical clock synchronization is not supported. The physical clock can be used only after lower-order ODU cross-connections are configured.

IEEE 1588v2

Not supported

Outband DCN

Supports communication over ESCs.

Test frame

Not supported

PRBS

Supports the PRBS function on the WDM side.

Latency measurement

  • The board supports latency measurement in the WDM-side optical port direction (upstream direction). When higher-order ODU4 cross-connections are created on the board, TCM section latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODU4 channels. When lower-order ODUk cross-connections are created on the board, PM/TCM section latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODU4 channels, and TCM section latency measurement is supported for lower-order ODUk channels.
  • The board supports PM and TCM latency measurement at the ODUCn layer.

Channel loopback

ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 3, 4, flex) channel loopbacks

Port loopback

Supports WDM Side Loopback

Alarm and performance event monitoring

  • Supports the monitoring of BIP8 bytes (Bursty mode) to help locate line failures.
  • Monitors parameters such as the bias current, temperature, and optical power of the laser.
  • Monitors OTN alarms and performance events.
