TNU2N401P: 1 * 100G/200G Programmable Line Service Processing Board

 

The N401P board can work in line or relay mode. It is a programmable line board whose WDM-side rate can be flexibly adjusted to 100G or 200G. The board can be set to support 100G or 200G on a port basis. It supports the setting of 100G or 200G when working as a line board or a regeneration board. The N401P board uses coherent detection technologies and is designated for coherent systems.

 

An N401P board consists of a WDM-side rate/modulation format tunable optical module, a signal processing module, a control and communication module, and a power module. When the board is set to the 100G mode, the WDM-side rate/modulation format tunable optical module automatically adjusts the rate to 100G and the modulation format to 100G ePDM-QPSK (SDFEC2), and the signal processing module also automatically adjusts the rate to 100G to process OTU4 signals. When the board is set to the 200G mode, the WDM-side rate/modulation format tunable optical module automatically adjusts the rate to 200G and the modulation format to 200G ePDM-16QAM (SDFEC), 200G_8QAM (SDFEC), or 200G_QPSK (SDFEC), and the signal processing module also automatically adjusts the rate to 200G to process OTUC2 signals.

NOTE:

  • When using a board whose line modulation format is 200G QPSK in an 80-wavelength system with a 50 GHz spacing, set the center wavelength to the median of two adjacent standard wavelengths (that is a standard wavelength plus 25 GHz), because the board must use a 100 GHz spacing during transmission.
  • To configure the board to work in 200G mode, you must obtain a license (1 x 100G/200G Programmable Line License).

Latency measurement

  • The board supports latency measurement in the WDM-side optical port direction (upstream direction). When lower-order ODUk cross-connections are created on the line board, PM/TCM section latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODUk channels, and TCM section latency measurement is supported for lower-order ODUk channels.
  • The board supports PM latency measurement at the ODUC2 layer.
