Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 Cross-Connect Board TNU1UCXCS 03024GWH Overview

TNU1UCXCS: Universal Cluster Cross Connect Board

The TNU1UCXCS board variant is TNU1UCXCS.

The TNU1UCXCS board grooms and protects ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, or flex) signals within a subrack and between subracks in a cluster system.

The UCXCS board provides external ports and supports a maximum of eight pluggable CXP2 optical modules for the interconnection between subracks. Optical modules and optical fibers are fixed together and cannot be separated.

UCXCS board is a cross-connect board. The UCXCS board grooms and protects ODUk (k = 0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, or flex), Packet, VC-4 and OSUflex signals within a subrack.

When two U32 Enhanced subracks or two U64 Enhanced subracks are configured in a B2B mode, one subrack can be configured with TNU3UCXCS boards and the other subrack can be configured with TNU1UCXCS boards.

Backup mode

The 14 cross-connect boards of the U64 subrack or the seven cross-connect boards of the U32 subrack form a cross-connect resource pool for service grooming.

When two UCXCS boards are faulty, the system can still function properly. If more than two UCXCS boards become faulty, the system will fail.
