TNU1G402: 2 x 100 Gbit/s General Service Processing Board
The G402 board is a general service processing board. Each port on the board can be used as a tributary port or a line port (line mode or relay mode).
When ports on a G402 board are used as tributary ports, the G402 board performs conversions between 100GE/OTU4 optical signals and ODU4/ODUflex electrical signals.
When ports on a G402 board are used as line ports (line mode), the G402 board performs the following conversions: 80 x ODU0/80 x ODUflex/40 x ODU1/10 x ODU2/10 x ODU2e/2 x ODU3/1 x ODU4<->1 x OTU4. The OTU4 signal is the one carried over an ITU-T G.694.1 compliant DWDM wavelength. Each port on the G402 board supports a mix of ODU0, ODU1, ODU2, ODU2e, ODU3 and ODUflex signals. The G402 board can be used in coherent systems.
When a port is used as a line port (relay mode), the port supports the electrical regeneration of one channel of OTU4 signal. When the WDM-side optical module is CFP-100G(4x25G/28G,Dualrate)-1295nm to 1310nm(LR4)-SMF-10km-SP module, the ports of the G402 board cannot be set to relay mode.
The G402 board consists of an optical module, signal processing module, control and communication module, and power supply module.
