TNS6N216: 16*10G Any Service Processing Board

 

 

The TNS6N216 board is a universal line board that supports hybrid transmission of OTN, OSU, and SDH services and converts received service signals into OTU signals.

 

 

The TNS6N216 board consists of an ODUk/OSUflex cross-connect module, an OTN processing module, a VC cross-connect module, an SDH processing module, a WDM-side optical module, a control and communication module, and a power supply module.

Function and Feature

Description

Basic function

Performs conversion between OTN/OSU signals and OTU0/OTU1/OTU2(e) signals.

Backplane capacity

The maximum capacity is 200 Gbit/s.

WDM specification

Supports DWDM specifications.

Tunable wavelength

Supports tunable wavelength optical modules that provide:

  • 40 wavelengths tunable in the C band with 100 GHz channel spacing
  • 80 wavelengths tunable in the C band with 50 GHz channel spacing

FEC coding

  • Supports ITU-T G.709-compliant forward error correction (FEC) on the WDM side.
  • Supports ITU-T G.975.1-compliant AFEC-2 on the WDM side.

NOTE:

  • Only ports IN1/OUT1-IN12/OUT12 support AFEC-2.
  • AFEC-2 encoding is supported only when the board works in OTU2 mode.

OTN overhead protocol

Uses the frame format and overhead processing compliant with ItU-T G.709.

OTN overhead

  • Supports OTU0/OTU1/OTU2/OTU2e on the WDM side.
  • OTU0/OTU1/OTU2/OTU2e layer: supports SM overhead processing.
  • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, flex) layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.
  • OSUflex layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.

In OSU application scenarios, only bidirectional latency measurement is supported, and unidirectional latency measurement is not supported.
