TNS2N220 Is Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 20 Port 10G Line Service Processing Board
Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 20 Port 10G Line Service Processing Board TNS2N220 Overview
TNS2N220: 20 x 10 Gbit/s Line Service Processing Board
The N220 board is a universal line board and supports a mix of OTN, OSU, and SDH services. It can also receive and transmit only one of the three services. The board processes and converts the received service signals into twenty OTU1/OTU2/OTU2e signals, which are carried over standard DWDM wavelengths.
The N220 board consists of a client-side optical module, signal processing module, control and communication module, and power supply module.
Functions and Features of the TNS2N220 Board
Function and Feature |
Description |

Supports the DWDM specifications. |
Tunable wavelength |
Supports tunable wavelength optical modules that provide for 80 wavelengths tunable in the C band with 50 GHz channel spacing. |
FEC coding |
FEC, AFEC-2 |
Line modulation format |
NRZ |
OTN overhead protocol |
Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing defined by ITU-T G.709. |
OTN overhead |
|
OSU |
Supported NOTE: The OSU function requires a license. |
Intra-board 1+1 protection |
Supported NOTE: Supports intra-board 1+1 protection when working with optical protection boards. |
ODUk SNCP |
Supported |
OSUflex SNCP |
Supported NOTE:
|
Tributary SNCP |
Supported |
Electrical-layer ASON |
Supported |
Optical-layer ASON |
Supported |
Physical clock |
Supported NOTE: When the ODU cross-connect granularity of an OTN line port is set to the maximum granularity supported by the port, physical clock synchronization is not supported. The physical clock can be used only after lower-order ODU cross-connections are configured. |
IEEE 1588v2 |
Not supported |
Outband DCN |
Supports ESC communication. |
Test frame |
Not supported |
PRBS |
Supports the PRBS function on the WDM side. |
Latency measurement |
The board supports latency measurement in the WDM-side optical port direction (upstream direction).
NOTE: In the OSU application scenario, unidirectional delay measurement is not supported, and only bidirectional delay measurement is supported. |
Channel loopback |
NOTE: The board supports a maximum of eight OSUflex channel loopbacks. |
Port loopback |
Supports WDM Side Loopback |
