TNG4SL16S: 1*STM-16 Optical Interface Board

The SL16S optical interface board is a SDH board and used on the WDM/OTN equipment to receive and transmit one STM-16 optical signal. The SL16S board converts the received optical signals into electrical signals and sends the electrical signals to the cross-connect side. In addition, the SL16S board converts the electrical signals from the cross-connect side into optical signals and transmits the optical signals.

The SL16S board mainly consists of the line-side optical module, SDH processing module, control and communication module, and power supply module.

Overhead processing	Supports OTN frame format and overhead processing defined by ITU-T G.709. The mapping process complies with ITU-T G.7041 and ITU-T G.709. Processes the section overheads of STM-16 signals. Supports transparent transmission and termination of path overheads. Supports setting and query of J0/J1/C2 bytes. Supports ECC communication. Supports DCC transparent transmission for a maximum of any one port. Bytes D1-D3 and D4-D12 are transparently transmitted. Provides orderwire byte channels. NOTE: Deleting a logical port that receives STM-16 services interrupts DCN communication on the port.
Port specifications	Supports SFP+/eSFP pluggable optical modules. Supports detection and query of information about optical modules as well as alarm reporting. Provides the ALS function. The optical port supports the setting of the on/off state of a laser.
