TNG2M504DM Is Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 Optical Transponder Unit
Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 Optical Transponder Unit TNG2M504DM Overview
TNG2M504DM: 4 x 100Gbit/s Service Multiplexing Into 2 x 200G/100G Programmable Wavelength Conversion Board
The M504DM board is a wavelength conversion board and applies to coherent systems. In the receive direction, the M504DM board receives four types of signals on the client side, which are 10GE LAN, OTU4, 40GE, FlexE 100G unaware and 100GE, maps these optical signals into OTUC2 or OTU4 signals, and converts the OTUC2 or OTU4 signal into a standard WDM wavelength.
The M504DM board is composed of the client-side optical module, WDM-side optical module, signal processing module, control and communication module, and power supply module.
Functions and Features of the TNG2M504DM Board (OTU)
Function and Feature |
Description |
Basic function |
The board can convert client-side services into OTU signals, the client-side service supports hybrid transmission of different services, for details about the service types, number of channels, and mapping paths supported by different ports, see Applications. |
Client-side service type |
NOTE: The board does not support the access of a single 10GE LAN service. It supports the access of only 4 x 10GE LAN services through the MPO/PC-4DLC/PC fiber patch cord. |
Service mapping mode |
|
WDM specification |
Supports the DWDM specifications. |
Tunable wavelength |
Supports tunable wavelengths of WDM-side optical signals in Super C band (1524 nm to 1573 nm). |
FEC coding |
|
Line modulation format |
|
Typical channel spacing |
|
OTN overhead protocol |
Uses the frame format and overhead processing compliant with ITU-T G.709. |
OTN overhead |
|
LPT |
Supports the LPT function when the client-side service is 10GE LAN. |
Intra-board 1+1 protection |
Supported NOTE:
|
Client 1+1 protection |
Supported NOTE:
|
ODUk SNCP |
Support intra-board ODUk SNCP. NOTE:
|
Tributary SNCP |
Supported NOTE: The board supports intra-board tributary SNCP protection only when OTU4 services are received on the client side. |
Electrical-layer ASON |
Not supported |
Optical-layer ASON |
Supported |
L1 service encryption |
Supports the bidirectional service encryption when the client-side service are Ethernet or FlexE services. NOTE:
|
Digital optical label |
When LS Ability is enabled, the board supports loading low-frequency pilot-tone modulation signals and overheads during wavelength conversion, and can work the optical-layer board that supports the digital optical label function to detect optical power and overheads and report optical performance data. |
ALS |
Supports the ALS function on the client side when client services are non-OTN services. |
LLDP |
Supports the LLDP function when the client-side service is 100GE/40GE/10GE LAN. NOTE: When the service mapping mode is MAC transparent mapping, the LLDP mode of the port is the Receive mode by default. In this case, LLDP packets are not transparently transmitted. |
Physical clock |
NOTE: The Bit Transparent Mapping(11.1G IMP+BMP) mode does not support synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission. |
IEEE 1588v2 |
|
ITU-T G.8275.1 |
|
ITU-T G.8273.2 |
Supported |
Outband DCN |
Supports communication over ESCs. |
Test frame |
NOTE: For Ethernet test frames, only one interface can be used to send them at a time. |
PRBS |
NOTE: The client-side PRBS function is not supported when the board accesses 10GE signals. |
Latency measurement |
NOTE: In a mapping path, the maximum granularity ODUk channel is the higher-order ODU channel, and other ODUk channels are lower-order ODUk channels. |
Channel loopback |
NOTE: The board does not support the channel loopback and ODUk loopback at the same time. When a client-side port accesses 10GE signals, only channel loopback is supported. |
Port loopback |
NOTE: Client-side loopback is not supported when the port accesses 10GE LAN signals. |
Alarm and performance event monitoring |
