TNG1M604S Is Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 Optical Transponder Unit
Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 Optical Transponder Unit TNG1M604S Overview
TNG1M604S: 1 x 400Gbit/s or 4 x 100Gbit/s Service Multiplexing Into 1 x 200G/400G Programmable Wavelength Conversion Board
The TNG1M604S board is a wavelength conversion board and applies to coherent systems, that converts client-side services into OTU signals.
The TNG1M604S board is composed of the client-side optical module, WDM-side optical module, signal processing module, control and communication module, and power supply module.
Functions and Features of the TNG1M604S Board (OTU)
Function and Feature |
Description |
Basic function |
The board can convert client-side services into OTU signals, the client-side service supports hybrid transmission of different services, for details about the service types, number of channels, and mapping paths supported by different ports, see Applications. |
Client-side service type |
|
Service mapping mode |
100GE: Bit Transparent Mapping ODU4, MAC Transparent Mapping ODU4. |
WDM specification |
Supports the DWDM specifications. |
Tunable wavelength |
When a wavelength-tunable optical module is configured, WDM-side optical signals are tunable in Super C band (1524 nm to 1573 nm). |
FEC coding |

WDM side:
|
Line modulation format |

Typical channel spacing |
|
OTN overhead protocol |
Uses the frame format and overhead processing compliant with ITU-T G.709. |
OTN overhead |

LPT |
Not Supported |
Intra-board 1+1 protection |
Supported NOTE: Implemented with optical protection boards. |
Client 1+1 protection |
Supported |
ODUk SNCP |
Not Supported |
Tributary SNCP |
Not Supported |
Optical-layer ASON |
Supported |
L1 service encryption |
Supported NOTE: When the client-side service type is OTU4, the board does not support the service encryption. |
Digital optical label |
When LS Ability is enabled, the board supports loading low-frequency pilot-tone modulation signals and overheads during wavelength conversion, and can work the optical-layer board that supports the digital optical label function to detect optical power and overheads and report optical performance data. |
ALS |
Supports the ALS function on the client side when client services are non-OTN services. |
LLDP |
Supported NOTE:
|
Physical clock |
|
IEEE 1588v2 |
Supported when 100GE(MAC transparent mapping ODU4) services are received on the client side. |
ITU-T G.8275.1 |
Supported |
ITU-T G.8273.2 |
Supported |
Outband DCN |
Supported NOTE: Supported when OTUk services are received. |
Test frame |
Supported when the client-side service type is 100GE. |
PRBS |
|
Latency measurement |
NOTE: In a mapping path, the maximum granularity ODUk channel is the higher-order ODU channel, and other ODUk channels are lower-order ODUk channels. |
Channel loopback |
Not supported. |
Port loopback |
NOTE: When the line-side rate is 100 Gbit/s, WDM-side loopback is not supported. |
