The M520SM board consists of the client-side optical module, WDM-side optical module, signal processing module, control and communication module, and power supply module.

A TNG1M520SM board occupies only one slot (requiring one 5.5-U slot).

Basic function

The M520SM multiplexes 2 x 100GE or 20 x 10GE Services into 1 x 200G/100G signal.

The M520SM supports setting TX1/RX1 port to line mode and outputting one OTU4 gray light signal.

NOTE:

When the TX1/RX1 port works in line mode, the TX1/RX1 port cannot coexist with the IN/OUT port.
1. Before switching the TX1/RX1 port to the line mode, you must delete the IN/OUT port.
2. Before using the IN/OUT port, you must delete the logical port of the TX1/RX1 port that works in line mode.
