TNG1A212S01 Is Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 General Service Processing Board
Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 General Service Processing Board TNG1A212S01 03032NSV Overview
TNG1A212S01: 12*10G Any Service Processing General Board(OTN Tributary,OTN and SDH Mixed Line,SDH Line)
The A212 board is a general service processing board. Each of ports IN1/OUT1 to IN10/OUT10 can be used as a tributary port, OTN line port, SDH line port, or line port (in relay mode). Each of ports IN11/OUT11 to IN12/OUT12 can be used as a tributary port or an SDH line port. The A212 board supports a maximum access capacity of 40 Gbit/s SDH services. Regardless of whether a port is used as an OTN line port or an SDH line port, the A212 board supports a maximum access capacity of 40 Gbit/s SDH services. When the A212 board ports are used as OTN line ports and SDH line ports simultaneously, the sum of the number of OTN line ports receiving and transmitting STM-16/STM-64 services and the number of SDH line ports receiving and transmitting STM-64 services is less than or equal to 3.
Each port on the A212 board can be used as an OTN line port or an SDH line port. When a port is used as an OTN line port, the port supports the transmission of OTN services, SDH services, or both OTN services and SDH services. When a port is used as an SDH line port, the port transmits and receives 12 x STM-n (n=1, 4, or 16)/4 x STM-64 optical signals.
When ports on the A212 board work in relay mode, only ports IN1/OUT1 to IN10/OUT10 can regenerate OTU2/OTU2e signals.
The A212 board consists of a client-side optical module, signal processing module, control and communication module, and power supply module.
Functions and Features of the TNG1A212S01 Board

FEC coding |
Supports ITU-T G.709-compliant forward error correction (FEC) on the client side when the client-side service type is OTU1 or OTU2(e). |
OTN overhead |
|
Maximum frame length for a port |
1518 to 9600 Bytes, supports a jumbo frame with a maximum length of 9600 bytes. |
LPT |
Supported on the client side when FE/GE/10GE LAN services are received. NOTE: The port equipped with an electrical module does not support LPT. |
Client 1+1 protection |
Supported |
ODUk SNCP |
Supported |
Tributary SNCP |
Supported NOTE: The board supports tributary SNCP protection only when the client-side service type is OTN, SDH, SONET or 10G WAN. |
Electrical-layer ASON |
Supported |
L1 service encryption |
Supported NOTE: When working in ODU1 convergence mode and ODU1_ODU0 mode, the board does not support encryption. |
ALS |
Supported on the client side when non-OTN services are received. NOTE: The port equipped with an electrical module does not support ALS. |
LLDP |
Not Supported |
Physical clock |
NOTE: The port equipped with an electrical module does not support synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission or synchronous Ethernet processing. |

Supported |
Outband DCN |
Supported communication over ESCs when the client-side service type is OTU1/OTU2/OTU2e. |
Test frame |
Support test frames when receiving FE/GE (GFP-T)/10GE LAN(MAC transparent mapping(10.7G)) services on the client side. NOTE: Supports this function only in ODU1 convergence mode when receiving FE services on the client side. |
PRBS |
Support the PRBS test function on the client side only when receiving STM-1/OC–3, STM-4/OC-12, STM-16/OC-48, STM-64/OC-192, OTU2, OU2e or OTU1 services. NOTE: A maximum of three ports on a TNG1A212 board support PRBS testing. When working in ODU1_ODU0 mode, the board does not support the PRBS test function in the backplane direction. |
