TNF5TDX: 2 x 10G Tributary Service Processing Board

The available functional version of the TDX board is TNF5.

TNF5TDX boards support optical transport network (OTN) ports and electric supervisory channels (ESCs).

As a type of tributary board, the TNF5TDX board converts between two channels of optical signals at a rate in the range of 8Gbit/s to 10Gbit/s and two ODU2/ODU2e/ODUflex electrical signals through cross-connection.

The TNF5TDX board consists of the client-side optical module, signal processing module, control and communication module, and power supply module.

There are indicators and interfaces on the front panel of the TNF5TDX board.

One slot houses one TNF5TDX board.

Working modes of TDX boards and their ports

TDX boards support the following port working modes:

ODU2 non-convergence mode:
1. 2 x STM-64/OC192/10GE WAN<->2 x ODU2
2. 2 x 10GE LAN<->2 x ODU2
3. 2 x 10GE LAN<->2 x ODU2e
4. 2 x FC800/FICON 8G<->2 x ODU2
5. 2 x FC1200/FICON 10G<->2 x ODU2e
6. 2 x OTU2/2 x OTU2e<->2 x ODU2/2 x ODU2e
ODUflex non-convergence mode: 2 x FC800<->2 x ODUflex

NOTE:

TDX boards do not support the setting of the board working mode.

Each FC800 service uses seven timeslots of an ODUflex. For details, see Mapping Client Services into ODUk Signals.

Cross-connect functionality

Supports cross-connection for two channels of ODU2, ODU2e, or ODUflex signals through a cross-connect board and the bus on the backplane.
