Huawei OSN 1800 Optical Supervisory Channel ST2 Board TNF1ST2
Huawei OSN 1800 ST2 Board TNF1ST2 Overview
TNF1ST2: Bidirectional Optical Supervisory Channel and Timing Transmission Unit
The available hardware version of the ST2 is TNF1.
As a type of optical supervisory channel unit, the TNF1ST2 board processes two channels of supervisory signals in opposite directions.
The TNF1ST2 board processes and regenerates an optical supervisory channel and supports IEEE 1588v2, physical-layer clock, and other functions and features.
The TNF1ST2 board consists of the transmit optical module, service processing module, IEEE 1588v2 module, receive optical module, control and communication module, and power supply module.
There are indicators and ports on the front panel of the TNF1ST2 board.
Functions and features of the TNF1ST2
Function and Feature |
Description |
Basic function |
Receives, processes, and transmits two optical supervisory signals. Supports the receipt, transmission, and processing of IEEE 1588v2 signals. Supports transparent transmission of two channels of FE electrical signals. Supports physical clock function. Supports a maximum of 40.5 dB transmission. |
Technical features |
The OSC has no limitation on the distance between two optical line amplifiers. The failure of an optical line amplifier does not affect the performance of the OSC. The ST2 board is independent of the SCC. When the SCC is not properly installed, the ST2 board can still ensure the pass-through of ECC with the two optical ports and monitor other stations. |
Regeneration function |
The ST2 board transmits signals from section to section. It also has the 3R function. In each regenerating station that has optical amplifiers, information can be correctly received and new supervisory signals are added. |
Operating wavelength |
When the ST2 board works with the DSFIU board, the signal wavelengths of supervisory channel for TM1 is 1511 nm, and the signal wavelengths of supervisory channel for TM2 is 1491 nm. When the ST2 board works with the DFIU board, the supervisory channel signal wavelength is 1511 nm. When the ST2 board works with the FIU board, the supervisory channel signal wavelength is 1310 nm. |
Loopback |
Supports outloops. |
G.8273.2 |
When working with F3SCC03/F3SCC04/F5XCH/F5UXCM/F5UXCME, the board supports this function. |
