TN15DWSS20: dual 20-port wavelength selective switching multiplexing and demultiplexing board (C band)
TN51DWSS20 and TN52DWSS20 support extended C-band, but TN15DWSS20 does not support them.
The TN15DWSS20 and TN52DWSS20 boards support optical-layer loopback, but the TN51DWSS20 board does not support optical-layer loopback.
By default, only 10 AM ports and 10 DM ports of a TN51DWSS20/TN52DWSS20 board can be used. To use the remaining AM ports and DM ports, you must configure the RTU
The TN51DWSS20 or TN52DWSS20 can be created as 15DWSS20 on the NMS. The former can substitute for the latter, without any software upgrade. After substitution, the TN51DWSS20 or TN52DWSS20 functions as the TN15DWSS20.
As a type of wavelength selective switching board, the DWSS20 board is used with the optical multiplexer and demultiplexer unit and optical add and drop multiplexing unit to implement wavelength grooming at the nodes in the DWDM network.
The DWSS20 board supports dynamic wavelength grooming, and in-service monitoring of performance parameters, performance events, and alarms.

Wavelength adding: adds any wavelengths from any directions through ports AM1 to AM20 and outputs the wavelengths through the OUT port. Wavelength dropping: receives optical signals from the main path through the IN port, drops wavelengths to any directions, and outputs them through ports DM1 to DM20. Adjusts single-wavelength attenuation in the wavelength adding and dropping directions.
