Huawei OSN 9800 Series FIU Board TN13FIU03 Overview

FIU: fiber interface unit

The FIU board has five functional versions: TN12, TN13, TN14, TN15, and TN16. Together these five versions are referred to as the FIU board unless otherwise specified.

As an optical multiplexer and demultiplexer unit, the FIU board multiplexes the main channel (service channel) signal and the OSC signal onto a single communications channel. The FIU board also performs the reverse process.

The FIU board multiplexes and demultiplexes C-band wavelengths, and supports in-service monitoring of optical power performance.

The FIU board consists of an optical module, optical power detection module, control and communication module, and power supply module.

There are indicators, interfaces, and a laser hazard level label on the front panel of the FIU board.

The FIU board is a single-width board (requiring one slot).
