TMB1EX40 Is Huawei Optix OSN 1800 Optical Multiplexer and Demultiplexer Board
Huawei Optix OSN 1800 Optical Multiplexer and Demultiplexer Board TMB1EX40 Overview
TMB1EX40: Enhanced 40-Channel Multiplexing or Demultiplexing Board
The available hardware version of the EX40 is TMB1.
The EX40 board can be used in the two-fiber bidirectional system. It multiplexes a maximum of 40 channels of ITU-T G.694.1-compliant standard-wavelength optical signals into one channel of optical signal or demultiplexes one channel of optical signal into a maximum of 40 channels of ITU-T G.694.1-compliant standard-wavelength optical signals. When the board is used in this application scenario, the MD01-MD40 optical ports are used to receive wavelength signals
The EX40 board can multiplex a maximum of 18 channels of ITU-T G.694.1-compliant standard-wavelength optical signals into one channel of optical signal, and demultiplex one channel of optical signal to a maximum of 18 channels of ITU-T G.694.1-compliant standard-wavelength optical signals. When the EX40 board is used in this application scenario, optical ports MD01 to MD18 form a group and optical ports MD23 to MD40 form a group. One group is used for receiving optical signals and the other is used for transmitting optical signals. The EX40 board can also multiplex and demultiplex 35 channels of optical signals when it is used with the TNF1ITL board (Even wavelengths: MD01 to MD18, MD23 to MD40. Odd wavelengths: MD01 to MD17, MD23 to MD39)

Description |
Basic function |
In the two-fiber bidirectional system: Demultiplexes one multi-wavelength signal into a maximum of 40 single-wavelength optical signals with a fixed channel spacing of 100 GHz. Multiplexes a maximum of 40 wavelength optical signals with a fixed channel spacing of 100 GHz into one multi-wavelength signal. In the single-fiber bidirectional system (with optical amplifiers): Demultiplexes one multi-wavelength signal into a maximum of 18 single-wavelength optical signals with a fixed channel spacing of 100 GHz. Multiplexes a maximum of 18 wavelength optical signals with a fixed channel spacing of 100 GHz into one multi-wavelength signal.
In the single-fiber bidirectional system (without optical amplifiers): Demultiplexes one multi-wavelength signal into a maximum of 20 single-wavelength optical signals with a fixed channel spacing of 100 GHz. Multiplexes a maximum of 20 wavelength optical signals with a fixed channel spacing of 100 GHz into one multi-wavelength signal.
