MA5800X2 Is Huawei OptiX OLT Series SmartAX MA5800 Service Subrack
Huawei OptiX OLT Series SmartAX MA5800 Service Subrack MA5800X2 Overview
The SmartAX MA5800, the multi-service access device, is a 4K/8K/VR ready OLT for the Gigaband era. It employs distributed architecture and supports PON/10G PON/GE/10GE/100GE in one platform. The MA5800 aggregates services transmitted over different media, provides an optimal 4K/8K/VR video experience, implements service-based virtualization, and supports smooth evolution to 50G PON.
The SmartAX MA5800 frame-shaped series is available in four models: MA5800-X17, MA5800-X15, MA5800-X7, and MA5800-X2. They are applicable in FTTB, FTTC, FTTH and FTTR networks. The 1 U box-shaped OLT MA5801 and outdoor compact OLT MA5801s are applicable to all-optical access coverage in low-density areas.
The SmartAX MA5800 can meet operator demands for a Gigaband network with wider coverage, faster broadband, and smarter connectivity. For operators, the MA5800 can provide superior 4K/8K/VR video services, support massive physical connections for smart homes and all-optical campuses, and offers a unified way to connect home user, enterprise user and Internet of Things (IoT) services. Unified service bearing can reduce central office (CO) equipment rooms, simplify network architecture, and minimize O&M costs.
The MA5800X2 service subrack has a fan tray on the right side. The subrack is installed in the cabinet through the mounting brackets.
The ESD jack of the MA5800X2 service subrack is on the bottom of the fan tray and is used to connect the ESD wrist strap to prevent device damage caused by electrostatic discharge.
The MA5800X2 subrack has 2 ground points. One is on the left side panel and the other is in the middle of the right mounting bracket of the subrack.
The power input end of the MA5800X2 has a noise filter. The center ground of the noise filter connects to the subrack, known as the chassis ground or protection ground. Ground the subrack enclosure securely to divert the induced or leaked current to the ground and improve the protection against electromagnetic interference.
Use a ground cable to connect the ground point of the subrack enclosure to the ground bar of the telecommunications room or to the ground directly. It is recommended that the grounding resistance of the telecommunications room should be less than 10 ohms. Refer to the local standards before grounding the subrack.
An MA5800X2 service subrack provides 5 slots, 2 for control boards, 1 for the power board, and 2 for service boards.
H901BPSB is the backplane supported by the MA5800X2.
The fan tray of the MA5800X2 service subrack has 2 fans and a fan monitoring board (FMSA) and supports heat dissipation, monitoring, and fan speed adjustment to ensure that the device works at a proper temperature.
The MA5800X2 service subrack has a fan tray on the right side to exhaust hot air.
