Huawei OSN 9800 100G Tributary Board TNV8T402 Overview

TNV8T402: 2*100G Tributary Service Processing Board(QSFP28)

The TNV8T402 board has two variants:TNV8T402Q01 and TNV8T402Q06. The two variants are interchangeable.

The TNV8T402 board is the 100G Tributary Service Processing Board. Each port on the T402 board can be used as a tributary port or a universal line port, which supports hybrid transmission of OTN and SDH services.

There are indicators and interfaces on the front panel of the T402 board.

Each port on the T402 board can be used as a tributary port or a universal line port, which supports hybrid transmission of OTN and SDH services.

The T402 board consists of a client-side optical module, signal processing module, control and communication module, and power supply module.

The transmit and receive directions are defined in the signal flow of the T402 board. The transmit direction is defined as the direction from the backplane to the WDM side of the board, and the receive direction is defined as the reverse direction.

The following describes the signal flow in the transmit direction along with the module functions.

  1. VC-4 signals and ODUk signals can be cross-connected through the backplane.
    • The VC-4 signals are received by the VC cross-connect module and sent to the SDH processing module for STM-N framing and OTN overhead processing. The generated STM-N signals are sent to the OTN processing module.
    • The ODUk signals are received by the ODUk cross-connect module and directly sent to the OTN processing module.
  2. The OTN processing module maps the STM-N signals to the payload of appropriate ODUk signals, performs OTN framing and FEC encoding of the signals, and then produces and sends one OTU4 electrical signal to the WDM-side optical module.
  3. The WDM-side optical module receives the OTU4 electrical signal from the OTN processing module, performs E/O conversion, and sends out one OTU4 optical signal through the OUT port.

The TNV8T402 board newly supports SDH ASON function when being used with the TNU2CTU/TNU4CTU/TNU5CTU/TNG1CXP/TNG3CXP/TNG4CXP board.
