TN55OPM8 Is Huawei OSN 9800 Spectrum Analyzer Boards
Huawei OSN 9800 Spectrum Analyzer Boards TN55OPM8 Overview
TN55OPM8: 8-channel flexible bandwidth optical power monitor board (Extended C-band).
The OPM8 board has one functional version: TN55.
The OPM8 board provides eight ports, and each port supports optical power monitoring.
The OPM8 board supports optical power detection and APE functions.
The OPM8 board consists of a 1x8 optical switch, power monitoring/spectrum analysis module, a driver and control module, control and communication module, and power supply module.
There are indicators and interfaces on the front panel of the OPM8 board.
The OPM8 board is a single-width board (requiring one slot).

Detection functions |
The TN55OPM8 board supports optical power, standard wavelength, and central wavelength detection for wavelengths at a fixed channel spacing, flexible grid wavelengths, and extended C band. For the TN55OPM8 board, each of the ports supports optical power detection of up to 128 wavelengths. The TN55OPM8 board can interoperate with the Optical Doctor management system license. When the Optical Doctor management system license is used, the TN55OPM8 board supports OSNR detection for 10 Gbit/s, 40 Gbit/s, 100 Gbit/s, 200 Gbit/s, and 400 Gbit/s (dual-carrier and single-carrier) signals. The TN55OPM8 board supports OSNR detection for wavelengths at a fixed channel spacing, flexible grid wavelengths, and extended C band. NOTE: OSNR monitoring and power monitoring are not supported for Turbo WDM boards. NOTE: The range of modulation formats supported by a spectrum analyzer board varies depending on the software version of the spectrum analyzer module. For example, some spectrum analyzer boards may fail to identify the 200G ePDM-e16QAM modulation format. To determine whether the spectrum analyzer board supports a modulation format, see the Mapping Between Fixed Grid MCA & OPM Boards and Modulation Formats of WDM_OTN. |
APE function |
Supports optical power detection when the board is configured as a power detection unit in an APE pair. NOTE: When working with the TN51SCU, the TN55OPM8 board does not support the APE function. |
