SLF2CSHO Is Huawei OptiX RTN 950A IDU Board
The CSHO is a system control, switching, and timing board.
The functional versions of the CSHO are SLF1 and SLF2.
Compared with the SLF1CSHO, the SLF2CSHO incorporates the following new functions: L3VPN, setting an E1 port to a T1 port, and support for WLAN modules.
CSHO boards function as system control, switching, and timing boards on OptiX RTN 950A NEs. They converge and groom various services through GE/STM-1/E1 service ports and TDM/Hybrid/Packet microwave ports. The E1 port supports the T1 function. The E1 service is used as an example to describe the application scenario. For the T1 service, the application scenario is similar.
The CSHO provides the functions of 10 Gbit/s packet switching, full time-division cross-connection, system control and communication, and clock processing, and provides GE service ports, STM-1 service ports, E1/T1 service ports, auxiliary ports, and management ports.
The CSHO consists of the system control and communication unit, packet switching unit, cross-connect unit, clock unit, and service unit.
The E1 port supports the T1 function. The E1 service is used as an example to describe the working principle. For the T1 service, the working principle is similar.
There are indicators, buttons, service ports, latches, clock ports, auxiliary ports, and management ports on the front panel of the CSHO.
The CSHO is inserted in slot 7 in the chassis and occupies the space of two ordinary slots. The CSHO is mapped to logical boards by functional unit and each logical board is allocated a logical slot on the NMS, to enable the NMS to manage each functional unit separately.
The GE and STM-1 service ports on the CSHO support multiple types of SFP modules.
This section describes the technical specifications of the CSHO, including the packet switching capability, cross-connect capability, specifications of Ethernet service ports, STM-1 service ports, clocks, and wayside service ports, mechanical specifications, and power consumption.
Function and Feature |
Description |
|
Basic functions |
Switching capability |
Supports 10 Gbit/s packet switching. |
Cross-connect capability |
Supports VC-12/VC-3/VC-4 full time-division cross-connections that are equivalent to 32x32 VC-4s. |
|
System control and communication |
Manages, monitors, and controls the running status of the IDU, and works as a communication service unit between the NMS and boards, allowing the NMS to control and manage the NE. |
|
Clock |
Clock source |
Traces the clock source and provides each unit with the system clock and frame headers for service signals and overhead signals. The clock sources that can be traced include:
