  • Description : Huawei OptiX RTN 980 IDU Board 4-port RJ45 + 2-port SFP FE/GE EoSDH processing board with the switching function

Version Description
The functional version of the EMS6 is SL91.

Application
The EMS6 transmits Ethernet services over TDM microwave networks or Native Ethernet services of Hybrid microwave networks through third-party SDH optical networks.

FE/GE Service Transmission over SDH/PDH Microwave

If the OptiX RTN 980 transmits Ethernet services over SDH/PDH microwave, the EMS6 receives/transmits, encapsulates, and maps Ethernet services that come from customer premises or Layer 2 networks.

Transparent Transmission over Third-Party SDH Optical Networks

If the OptiX RTN 980 converges Ethernet services over Hybrid microwave and the converged Ethernet services need to be transparently transmitted over third-party SDH optical networks, the EMS6 encapsulates and maps the converged and locally received Ethernet services.
