SL91EM6T Is a 4-Port RJ45 Fast Ethernet + 2-Port RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Interface Board
The EM6T/EM6F is an FE/GE interface board, which provides four FE electrical ports and two GE ports. The difference between the EM6T and the EM6F is as follows: The GE ports on the EM6T are always electrical ports, whereas the GE ports on the EM6F function as two FE/GE optical or GE electrical ports through SFP modules. The GE electrical ports are compatible with FE electrical ports.
The functional version of the EM6T/EM6F is SL91.
The EM6F/EM6T receives/transmits Ethernet services or carries MPLS tunnels. The selection of the board depends on desired port types.
The EM6T/EM6F receives/transmits, processes, and converges four channels of FE signals and two channels of GE signals. The EM6F can also receive/transmit two channels of FE optical signals using FE SFP optical modules installed at the GE ports.
There are indicators, FE service ports, and GE service ports on the front panel of the EM6T/EM6F.
The EM6T/EM6F can be inserted in Slots 1 to 14, which have consistent logical slot numbers on the NMS.
The FE/GE SFP ports on the EM6F/EM6T support multiple types of SFP modules.
This section describes the technical specifications of the EM6T/EM6F, including mechanical specifications, specifications of GE ports and FE ports, and power consumption.
